Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
operate breaker line supports on at least two occasions, including:tramming and positioning breaker line supportsconfirming work requirements details, including:machines and machine defectscutting sequencescut cyclesrequired survey data and environment informationgeological conditionshazards and potential hazardscompleting coordination with others involved, including:shuttle car operatorcable handlertradespersonsminer driverdeputy.During the above the candidate must:locate and apply relevant documentation, policies and procedures and confirm work activity is compliantimplement the requirements, procedures and techniques for operating breaker line supports, including:reading, interpreting, applying and communicating technical informationidentifying and minimising environmental issues, potential hazards and risks selecting and using relevant tools and equipmentcomplying with environmental requirements and constraintsidentifying work requirementsapplying diagnostic and fault finding techniquesinterpreting mine survey and geological datamaintaining equipment recordswork effectively with others to undertake and complete operate breaker line supports in a way that meets required outcomes, including:organising work activities to meet task requirementscommunicating clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructionscomplying with reporting requirements and proceduresdetermining coordination requirements throughout work activities.
